Fantastic job, Darcy! I really like how you displayed your Summary of Learning. I have never used Explee before, but I have used VideoScribe and it's a similar look! It was really cool to see your journey from the start of the semester until the end. I agree with you 100% when you said "Getting feedback from Alec and the class... invaluable!" My favourite classes this semester were the ones that we gave feedback to one another. The group discussions and engagement in this class help create a valuable online community. It has been a pleasure taking a class with you this semester. Thanks for sharing your experience with us through your Summary of Learning!
Wow!! I would love to hear how you found the creation process with Explee! It seems like a great tool. I liked how you used all the different fonts to show learning about fonts haha. Thanks for sharing!
I thought the Explee site was pretty easy to use and it just took a little bit of patience to get used to the layout and then it was pretty easy to navigate. Easy to extend or shorten sequences. The hardest part was organizing my thoughts!
Like Amanda, I have never used (or even seen!) Explee before, and I appreciate seeing a new tool used so effectively to summarize. Whiteboard style videos are really modern and effective in that they blend narration with clear, distinct imagery. I found you encapsulated the entire course from your own unique perspective very well!
How did you find out about Explee? I am glad that you found it easy to navigate, as when I was working through Powtoon earlier this semester, I found myself very frustrated with it. Do you see yourself using this in your teaching often? Thanks for sharing your summary of learning, and being one of the first ones to do so!
Thanks for sharing this! I would love to try out Explee with students at some point. Will try it out and see what the learning curve is like. Sounds from the comments already that it's pretty user-friendly.
I am a high school physical education teacher. I have 3 wonderful kids Callie, Andrew and Jonah, a supportive wife, Larrah and an immortal dog, Xena.
